ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's soccer team (1-12-2, 1-5-1) was defeated by Mount Union (14-1-1, 5-1-1) by a final score of 1-0. The Purple Raiders were held scoreless in the first half but were able to break through early in the second to take a lead they would not give up.

Men's Soccer Match Ends in 1-1 Draw With Franklin
FRANKLIN, Indiana - The Wilmington College men's soccer team drew 1-1 with the Franklin Grizzlies. Tannar Beerman scored his first goal of the season late in the first half to equalize. Neither team was able to break through in the second half and the game would end in a 1-1 draw.

Academic All-Conference selections have at least a cumulative 3.5 grade-point average (GPA) at the end of the semester preceding the end of the spring season and be a sophomore academically or above. The student-athlete must also be a member of a varsity team, in a sport sponsored by the league, as well as be enrolled in a full-time capacity.

2021 Fall Men's Soccer Schedule Revealed
After navigating through a unique 2021 spring season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Wilmington College men's soccer team is anxious to return to the pitch for a normally-time season this fall. The Fightin' Quakers, under the direction of 2007 alumnus Alex Van der Sluijs, won the program's first postseason game in 15 seasons with a 2-1 victory over Capital University at Williams Stadium in an OAC Tournament quarterfinal. Five individuals garnered All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) recognition on a squad that came within a shootout victory of a berth in the OAC Tournament title game.

2021 Male Clyde Lamb Award Winner - Men's Soccer's Ian Molftenter
Molfenter is a native of Dayton, Ohio, and a graduate of Dayton Carroll High School. A three-year member of the program, Ian came to Wilmington College after a year at both Ohio Wesleyan University and Wright State University. A starter of 46 games in his Quaker career, Molfenter is a two-time First-Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) selection who has scored 16 goals and dished out five assists for a total 37 career points.
