(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's soccer team crushed the Heidelberg University Student Princes, 5-1 on Senior Day. Gabriel Swaisgood and Andre Hagborg were both honored before the start of the contest. The Quakers finish their season at 4-11-2 overall and 3-5-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC).

The scoring got started early as the Quakers sent a ball from midfield to Luke Washenfelder, who sent a cross into the middle of the box where Kaden Young, from right in front of the net put Wilmington up 1-0 in the second minute of the game.

After another ball was sent from midfield, Young picked it up and crossed it to freshman Jackson Beske who knocked it off the right glove of the keeper and into the back of the net for a 2-0 Quaker lead in the 12th minute. In the 19th minute, Young sent a ball from the 37-yard line on the football field to Sakarias Bahamondez, where he made a move to his right and sent a right footed strike into the back of the net for a 3-0 lead. The Quakers would score one more time before the end of the first half. In the 42nd minute, Oscar Warnlund passed it to Gavin Morningstar, who tripped over his defender and then passed the ball back to Warnlund, where he sent the ball into the left side of the net past the keeper for a 4-0 halftime advantage.

The second half brought along one goal for Wilmington in the 76th minute after the Student Princes found their lone tally in the 56th minute. William Jansson sent a perfect through ball, threading it between two defenders to Warnlund, who did the rest and beat the keeper to his right with a solid strike to make the score 5-1, which would end up being the final score.
