Cardinals Best Quakers in Men's Soccer Wednesday Night

(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's soccer team were on the road Wednesday night at Otterbein University and lost to the Cardinals, 4-1. They are now 2-8-2 on the season and 1-2-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC).

The Quakers had a pair of shots in the first half, both on goal from Brady Vilvens. They went into the locker room down 1-0 after Jayden Lunsford scored a goal for Otterbein in the 39th minute.

The Cardinals scored three more times in the second half, as the Quakers also netted a goal in the 78th minute off the foot of freshman Jackson Beske. Beske now holds the team lead with four goals on the season and holds the points lead with nine. The Quakers had three more shots on goals after Beske found the back of the net but couldn't find another tally in the loss.
