All-OAC Selections

(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced their men's soccer All-Conference performers today and the Quakers had three players represented. They are sophomore goalkeeper Thomas Grimes, freshman defender William Jansson, and senior defender Andre Hagborg.

Grimes was named to the Second Team, while both Jansson and Hagborg were honored on the Third Team. Grimes was named all-conference for the second season in a row after being on the Third Team last year, and it is the first honor for both Jansson and Hagborg.

Grimes was fifth in the conference with 63 saves this season and had three games with seven or more saves and recorded a season-high 12 saves on October 21st at the University of Mount Union. His save percentage of .670 was also fifth in the OAC.

Jansson had a solid freshman campaign for the Quakers, scoring three goals with two assists for eight points. The three goals tied for third on the team, and his two assists tied for second. He recorded a multi-goal game against Baldwin Wallace University on October 7th in a 4-0 win and picked up his final goal of the season against Muskingum University on October 25th in a 5-1 Quakers triumph.

Hagborg started all 17 games for the Quakers and helped lead a defensive group that allowed 38 goals this season, and 2.24 goals per contest. The Quakers allowed just three goals over the final three games of the season. Hagborg dished out one assist this season at Anderson University (Ind.) on September 5th.
