First half goals undo @DubC_MSoccer

LEXINGTON, KY – The Wilmington College men's soccer team yielded two first-half goals and fell to Transylvania in non-conference action, 2-0, Wednesday at Pat Deacon Stadium.

The Pioneers tallied goals in the 19th and 34th minutes to record the victory.

Freshman Benny Spirk (Wilmington, OH/Wilmington), freshman Niklas Martennson (Torna Hallestad, Sweden/NTI) and senior Ethan Zimpfer (Botkins, OH/Botkins) all finished with three shots for the Fightin' Quakers.

Spirk tallied two of Wilmington's three shots on goal. Freshman Treshaun Pate (Cincinnati, OH/Princeton) had the other.

Freshman Nick Latessa (Englewood, OH/Northmont) recorded five saves on seven shots.

The game featured four yellow cards, three on Transylvania, and 11 fouls.

Wilmington (2-5) hosts Defiance 2 p.m. Saturday in non-conference action.
