GAME PROGRAM - MSJ

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's soccer team (1-0-0) is set to take on the Mount Saint Joseph Lions Sunday at 3 p.m. in Williams Stadium.

The Teams: Wilmington is coming off its second superb defensive showing, recording two straight clean sheets. The Quakers hope to tighten up the offensive side as they have drastically outshot their opponents despite scoring one goal over the past two contests. Mount Saint Joseph is coming off two consecutive defeats and hopes to right the ship on sunday.

The Coaches: Alex Van der Sluijs is in his fourth year leading Wilmington's men's soccer team. The 2007 alumnus, who was a three-time First Team All-OAC selection and a member of the program's only team to win an OAC title in 2004, got the program within a shootout victory of playing for an OAC Tournament title in the spring of 2021. He worked at Defiance College for seven seasons. Rudy Argueta leads the Lions for his 13th season and has led them to two HCAC tournament appearances.

The Players: Senior goalkeeper Felix Maurer looks to claim his 3rd clean sheet of the young season. Senior Yusef Muqtadir continues to put pressure on opposing defenses with 10 shots in two games.
