Toney named All-OAC

AUSTINTOWN – For the third consecutive season, Wilmington men's soccer player Nick Toney is honored in the postseason by the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC).

Toney (Morrow, OH/Little Miami) was named second team All-OAC, the league announced today (November 12, 2015). It's the second straight season Toney earned second team laurels. He was named honorable mention in 2013.

"Nick Toney is a very special athlete," said Wilmington head coach Bud Lewis. "His speed and quickness is exceptional. He may be the fastest player I have ever coached. His ability to beat a defender with his speed created numerous scoring opportunities for him and his teammates. Nick scored nine goals this season, the most goals scored by a Wilmington Player since 2006. Nick's career total was 19 goals and eight assists. He will be a very difficult player to replace in our lineup."

The transfer from Northern Kentucky University, Toney finished fifth in the OAC with nine goals.

Wilmington finished 5-13-1 overall, 2-6-1 in the OAC.
