WESTERVILLE – The Wilmington College men's soccer team allowed a pair of second-half goals in losing to Otterbein Tuesday, 2-0, in Ohio Athletic Conference action at Memorial Stadium.

Wilmington had their chances in the first half, and mounted most of the quality offense. However, the Cardinals' goalkeeper was up to the task, recording six of his eight saves in the first 45 minutes.

Otterbein finally broke through with a goal in the 62nd minute and added an insurance marker in the 75th minute.

Wilmington outshot OC, 17-15, and held a 9-5 advantage in shots on goal.

Sophomore Niklas Martensson (Torna Hallestad, Sweden/NTI) and freshmen Carl Bergstrom (Gothemberg, Sweden/Elof Lindalv) each had three shots on goal with two assists.

Senior Nick Baker (Indianapolis, IN/Decatur Central) had three saves on five shots.

Wilmington (4-7-2 overall, 1-3 OAC) travels to face Marietta 4 p.m. Saturday.
