Sabins scores only goal in loss

MEADVILLE, PA - The Wilmington College men's soccer team allowed four unanswered goals, two in each half, as the Quakers dropped their first game of the season, a 4-1 setback to Hiram in the first game of the Allegheny Kick-Off Classic.

Freshman Cody Sabins (Marysville/Marysville) tallied his first collegiate goal in the games 17th minute off an assist from sophomore Dan Wicks (Cincinnati/Reading). The Terriers recorded the equalizer in the 33rd minute and took the lead for good in the 36th minute. Hiram added insurance tallies with scores in the 49th and 61st minute.

Junior Antonio Trujillo (Cincinnati/Princeton) allowed four goals with five saves in the loss.

Wilmington (0-1) returns to the pitch 1 p.m. Sunday against host Allegheny.
