@DubC_MSoccer shut out by Polar Bears

ADA – The Wilmington College men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Ohio Northern Tuesday in Ohio Athletic Conference action at Kerschner Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • J.J. Fortner scored both of Ohio Northern's goals, finding the back of the net in the 15th and 38th minutes.
  • Wilmington was limited to four shots, one of which was on goal.
  • Freshman Wille Winald (Asa, Sweden/Elof Lindalv) tallied two shots, while seniors Nils Asteberg (Ojersjo, Sweden/Porthalla Gymnasium) and Leondro Foscaches (Campo Grande, Brazil/Dom Bosco) had one shot each. Asteberg had the shot on goal.
  • Senior Chris Bourque (Batavia, OH/Batavia) finished with five saves on seven shots.

WHAT'S NEXT

Wilmington (7-7-2 overall, 1-4-1 OAC) returns to Townsend Field in Williams Stadium for its home finale 7 p.m. Saturday, hosting Mount Union. The Fightin' Quakers will honor the contributions of retiring head coach Bud Lewis, and their three seasons – Bourque, Asteberg and Foscaches – in a pregame ceremony.
