Larimer Lights up Capital, Throws for Five Touchdowns in 49-24 Homecoming Victory
WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College football team scored seemingly at will tonight as quarterback Derek Larimer torched the Capital secondary for five touchdowns and 385 yards on 23-31 passing attempts. The 49-24 victory is the Quakers fifth straight win over the Comets. The Quakers improve their record to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference play.

45 Fall Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-OAC Honors
Academic All-Conference selections have at least a cumulative 3.5 grade-point average (GPA) at the end of the semester preceding the end of the spring season and be a sophomore academically or above. The student-athlete must also be a member of a varsity team, in a sport sponsored by the league, as well as be enrolled in a full-time capacity.

Kiwanis Club of Wilmington Honors 2022 Fall Student-Athletes
Kiwanis is an international service organization dedicated to helping kids locally and around the world. The Wilmington club has been actively helping kids for 40 years and the international group has been working for 100-plus years. Wilmington Kiwanis sponsors the East Clinton, Clinton-Massie and Wilmington Key Clubs. It also sponsors two soccer tournaments at Wilmington College, awards a $1,000 scholarship to a student at Wilmington College or Southern State along with many other things.

Corey Fillipovich Named Wilmington College Head Football Coach
Fillipovich has a cumulative full season under his belt as acting head coach having assumed the role in mid-October of 2021. He's guided WC to a 5-5 record in his 10 games leading the program including a 3-3 record this season. Victories include four thrilling games with the Columbus schools - Capital University and Otterbein University - as well as a 52-27 thrashing of Southern Virginia University to open the 2022 season.

Kyle Barrett Named OAC Football Offensive Player of the Week
Barrett, a native of Columbus, Ohio, and a graduate of Beechcroft High School, completed 25-of-43 for 379 yards and two touchdowns along with six rushes for 18 yards and a touchdown. Perhaps most impressive, Barrett engineered a 16-play, 99-yard drive late in the fourth quarter to score the game-winning touchdown in a 26-21 victory over Capital University in the season-opener.

OAC Postpones Athletic Competition Through the Rest of the 2020 Calendar Year
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC), the league Wilmington College has participated in collegiate athletics since the turn of the century, announced on Friday its plans to postpone all intercollegiate athletic competition through the calendar year due to safety concerns amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The conference is committed to collaboration in 2021 to allow the affected sports to compete safely in 2021.
