Hairston adds Watkins to staff

Wilmington College head football coach Stacey Hairston has announced Bradley Watkins has been added to the coaching staff.

The former running backs coach at Ohio Northern will assume the role of Special Teams Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach. He was also the junior varsity head coach and offensive coordinator.

"Brad is a very respectful, professional, passionate young coach, who is a hard worker who will go over and beyond to make sure that the job is done right the first time," said Hairston. "Brad has experience as a player on defense and also has experience as a coach on both sides of the ball as well as with special teams. I feel very fortunate to be able to add a coach of his ability and passion to our program."

Watkins is a 2007 graduate of Ohio Northern, where he was a four-year letterman for the Polar Bears from 2002-05, and was a student assistant in 2006. He earned his M.E. degree in exercise science from Old Dominion University in 2011.

He was an assistant coach at ODU from 2010 to 2013, serving as the running backs coach.
