Football To Host Bone Marrow Drive

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College football team will be hosting a Bone Marrow Drive for the Andy Talley Bone Marrow Foundation on the College's Mall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 21st.

The foundation, started by long-time Villanova University Head Football Coach Andy Talley, partners with over 160 intercollegiate football teams across the country to increase the amount of bone marrow donors. To date, the "Get in the Game. Save a Life" recruitment program is responsible for the addition of over 119,000 new donors and an astounding 810 bone marrow transplants.

"It's a great privilege to be a part of an organization like Be The Match," Acting Head Coach Corey Fillipovich said. "Their people have been first class in helping us get organized for our event on April 21. Everyone is effected by cancer, and this give our campus an opportunity to save a life with a simple swab of the mouth!"

Join the football team on the mall on April 21 to register as a bone marrow donor!
