(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – The D3football.com All-Region teams were released yesterday, and the Wilmington College football team had one honoree in senior wide receiver Lathan Jones. He is the first Quakers football player to earn All-Region honors since safety Tarrell Starckey was named to the All-North Region Third Team Defense in 2015. Jones is the first wide receiver to earn All-Region honors for Wilmington since Jeremy Duncan was named to the All-North Region First Team Offense in 2013.

Jones was also named to the First Team All-OAC Offense earlier this fall, becoming the first Quaker to do so since Itika Wynn Jr. and Luke Richardson earned this accolade in 2019.

Jones led the conference with 97.1 receiving yards per game and was second in the conference with 971 receiving yards. He was also second in the conference with 13 receiving touchdowns, 51 receptions, 5.1 receptions per game, and 19.0 yards per reception. His 13 touchdowns tie him for third in program history for single season receiving touchdowns.

He also made a career-high 11 catches at Muskingum University on November 4th, coming away with 196 yards in the game. He caught three touchdown passes in three separate games this season, coming against The College of Wooster (September 2nd), Baldwin Wallace University (September 9th), and Muskingum University (November 4th). Jones also caught two touchdowns in the Quakers homecoming victory against Capital University on September 23rd.

He currently has 1,833 receiving yards in his career, slotting him ninth in program history, and his 21 receiving touchdowns tie him for fourth in program history. He has seven games of 100 plus receiving yards, and two games with 200 plus receiving yards in his career. Jones will be back to play another season for the Quakers in 2024.
