D3football.com Press Release

(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – For the first time since September 24th, 2019, and the third time in program history, Quakers football had a quarterback honored on the D3football.com Team of the Week in senior Derek Larimer. He becomes the 17th individual player in program history to be honored on the team from Wilmington along with the Quakers entire offensive line, who were honored in both 2017 and 2021.

After a huge game on Saturday afternoon, Larimer earned the honor for the first time in his career after throwing for 482 yards and nine touchdowns at Muskingum University in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) action.

Larimer set a Quakers program record with the nine touchdown passes and is just the second player ever to accomplish the feat in the OAC, tying Ohio Northern University's Joe Zarlinga, who did it against Capital in 1998. The 482 passing yards are third in program history for a single game, and the 35 pass completions tie him with Luke Creditt (2017) for third in program history for a single game.

Larimer will look to set the program record for single season touchdowns on Saturday afternoon, as he and Adam Ryan (1999) are tied with 34 touchdowns in a season. He will also be honored before the game for Senior Day against Ohio Northern at Williams Stadium, when they play the Polar Bears at 2:00 P.M.
