WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College football team has its 2021 fall schedule and is looking forward to a return to normalcy after a unique five-game spring season last academic year due the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Fightin' Quakers will open the season with a non-conference bout against Southern Virginia University on Sept. 4 at Williams Stadium at 1:30 p.m. The next week, Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play begins with Heidelberg University in Tiffin following by a Homecoming Weekend contest with Ohio Northern University at 3 p.m. on Sept. 18. The month closes with a trip to Muskingum County to face the Fighting Muskies at Zanesville High School.

A bye week opens up October and then Wilmington hosts the University of Mount Union and Marietta College on Oct. 9 and 16 respectively before rounding out the month with consecutive trips to Northeast Ohio to face Baldwin Wallace University and John Carroll University. As has been the schedule in previous (non-COVID-19) seasons, the Quakers will close out the 2021 spring campaign against the Columbus schools - Capital University and Otterbein University. Wilmington will host the Crusaders for a Senior Day game on Nov. 6 and head to Westerville for the regular season finale against the Cardinals on Nov. 13.
