Wilmington College receiver Jeremy Duncan has been named First Team All North Region by D3football.com. (North Region Team)

Duncan (Cincinnati, OH/Archbishop Moeller) becomes the first Wilmington offensive player to earn all-region honors from D3football.com. He is now eligible for All-American honors, which will be announced on December 20.

Defensive back Chad Otte is the only other WC player to earn all-region accolades, earning the recognition in 2006. The website started awarding regional awards in 2005.

"Jeremy being selected as first team All North Region is a tremendous honor," said Wilmington head coach Stacey Hairston. "Not only was he recognized by the other coaches in the OAC as an outstanding receiver, but the other coaches in our region has taken notice on what Jeremy Duncan has done this year.  He is a very talented young man who is still growing as a player.  It says a lot about what he has done this year to be recognized by this honor, considering he played on a team that did not win a game.  There probably are not many other players named to the first team from winless teams.  Congrats goes out to Jeremy, he worked very hard in a new system."

The 6-5 sophomore earned the OAC's Ed Sherman Receiver of the Year award, along with being named first team All-OAC.

He was the only receiver in the league to reach the 1,000-yard plateau in the regular season, finishing with 1,184 yards with eight touchdowns. He set a league single-game record with 327 yards against Muskingum. His 118.4 yards per game led the OAC, and is seventh nationally.
