WESTERVILLE – The Wilmington College football team yielded 21 third-quarter points as a close game was blown open, and the Fightin' Quakers fell to Otterbein Saturday (September 26), 31-9, in Ohio Athletic Conference action.

All three of Otterbein's third quarter touchdowns came via the pass as Kevan Green hooked up with Julian Lowe on passes of 25, 62 and 50 yards, respectively.

Quarterbacks Luke Creditt (Wilmington, OH/Waynesville) and Austin Jarbo (Gratis, OH/Preble Shawnee) accounted for 402 of their team's 427 yards of total offense. Creditt threw for 172 yards on 13-of-24 passing and 44 yards rushing, while Jarbo was 6-of-12 for 127 yards and a team-high 59 yards on the ground. He tallied Wilmington's only touchdown, a three-yard run with 4:46 remaining in the game.

Despite the seemingly lopsided score, the Wilmington defense had some bright spots as they limited the Cardinals to just 29 percent (4-of-14) on third down.

Sophomore Aroyal Wright (Cincinnati, OH/Newport (KY) finished with four receptions for a career-high 136 yards. He became the third receiver to reach 100 yards in a game. Senior Justin Lee (Middletown, OH/Madison) hauled in a team-high nine receptions for 87 yards. For the first time this season, sophomore Brandon Mitchell (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) didn't have 100 yards receiving, pulling down three passes for 49 yards.

Defensively, senior Nick Williams (Cleveland, OH/Fairview) finished with 12 tackles, one for loss, and a pass breakup, while senior Cody Reigelsperger (Trenton, OH/Edgewood) added 11 stops.

Wilmington (1-2 overall, 0-2 OAC) returns home 2 p.m. Saturday for a Homecoming meeting with Marietta.
