WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team will close its 2019 regular season at John Carroll University on Saturday at 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and John Carroll, the Fightin' Quakers are 8-7-1, 3-5-0 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) after a 3-0 loss to Capital on Wednesday. The Blue Streaks are 9-5-3, 5-2-1 OAC after defeating Heidelberg 2-0. 

The Coches: Steve Spirk enters his 28th season as Wilmington's head women's soccer coach. Spirk, a 1982 alumnus, has led the Quakers to six NCAA Division III Tournaments, eight conference championships and over 300 victories during his tenure. A member of the Wilmington Athletics Hall of Fame, Spirk was a four-time All-American and holds several of the College's men's soccer records. Michael Marich is in his eighth season leading the Blue Streaks, his teams have only missed the OAC tournament once since starting at John Carroll. 

The Players: The freshman duo of Taylor Huffman and Maddie Scott lead the Quaker offense with 6 and 5 goals respectively. Lauren Galloway has started every game at goalkeeper for Wilmington with 16 goals allowed and 92 saves. Jaclyn Audino leads John Carroll in goals with 10 while also dishing out eight assists. Danielle DelGiudice has played over 1,000 minutes at goalkeeper with 18 goals allowed and 67 saves. 

Series History: Wilmington is 7-9-7 against John Carroll since 2000, the last 10 meetings have gone the way of the Blue Streaks at 2-5-3. 

Conference Standings: The Quakers currently occupy sixth in the OAC standings, they will only miss the conference tournament with a loss against John Carroll and a Marietta victory over Baldwin Wallace.
