CRESTVIEW HILLS, Kentucky - The Wilmington College women's soccer team was unable to recover from an early goal in a 1-0 loss to Thomas More University on Wednesday evening.

The lone goal of the game came from Olivia Nienaber in the 15th minute, headed in from a Ryann Meddings corner kick.

The Saints outshot the Fightin' Quakers 14-3 with six of those shots falling on frame. Thomas More also took the advantage in corner kicks with eight while Wilmington could not manage to earn one.

Lauren Galloway had five saves in the Quaker loss while Skylin Yates was well protected with no saves recorded in the shutout.

Up next, the Quakers will return to Williams Stadium on Saturday for an 11 a.m. contest with Anderson University (Indiana).
