Carlie Brooks Scores in Women's Soccer 4-1 loss to No. 17 Otterbein

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team fell to Otterbein University 4-1 on Wednesday evening, Carlie Brooks scored the lone goal for the Fightin' Quakers in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) action.

The Quakers are now 8-5-1, 3-3-0 OAC and the Cardinals maintain first place in the OAC standings at 13-1-1, 6-0-0 OAC.

The goals started early in Williams Stadium for Otterbein, Bella Shively scored in the second minute with an assist from Delaney Earl on a cross. Earl then found the net herself in the third minute with an assist from Myiah Kelley on a cross into the penalty area. Katie Exline scored the final goal of the first half in the 41st minute assisted by Emily Ganz. 

Brooks put the Quakers on the board in the 68th minute by chasing a rebound off of the Cardinal goalkeeper. Kelley scored the final goal of the evening in the 87th minute, assisted by Exline with a through ball. 

Lauren Galloway took the loss for the Quakers with eight saves. Erin Gordon received credit for Otterbein's win with two saves. 

Wilmington will travel to Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday to continue OAC play against the Yellow Jackets at 7 p.m.
