WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team will compete in the first round of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) tournament at Otterbein University on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Otterbein, the Fightin' Quakers concluded their regular season with a record of 9-7-1, 4-5-0 OAC to finish sixth in the standings. The Cardinals finished at 14-3-1, 7-2-0 OAC after a loss to Capital 2-0 dropped them to third in the standings on a tiebreaker.

The Coaches: Steve Spirk enters his 28th season as Wilmington's head women's soccer coach. Spirk, a 1982 alumnus, has led the Quakers to six NCAA Division III Tournaments, eight conference championships and over 300 victories during his tenure. A member of the Wilmington Athletics Hall of Fame, Spirk was a four-time All-American and holds several of the College's men's soccer records. Brandon Koons is in his 21st season leading the Cardinals. He has lead them to nine OAC regular season championships. Koons is the winningest women's soccer coach in OAC history, currently standing with a career record of 274-87-34 and a .759 winning percentage.

The Players: Taylor Huffman leads Wilmington in goals with six, she has also dished out three assists. Maddie Scott is the other prominent scorer for the Quakers with five goals. Lauren Galloway has started every game as goalkeeper for the Quakers, recording 96 saves and four shutouts. Bella Shivley leads Otterbein in goals and assists with 21 and 11 respectively. Erin Gordon has started every game in the goal for Otterbein and has made 39 saves with 18 goals allowed.

Series History: Wilmington is 13-18-0 against Otterbein since 1987, the Cardinals won in the regular season 4-1 in Williams Stadium. More information can be found by visiting the link above.
