WILMINGTON, Ohio - The WIlmington College women's soccer team will host Transylvania University on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Williams Stadium. 

The Teams: Wilmington and Transylvania, the Fightin' Quakers are 3-2-1 after a tie to Wittenberg University on Saturday. The Pioneers are 1-4-1 after drawing with Heidelberg University on Saturday.

The Coaches: Steve Spirk enters his 28th season as Wilmington's head women's soccer coach. Spirk, a 1982 alumnus, has led the Quakers to six NCAA Division III Tournaments, eight conference championships and over 300 victories during his tenure. A member of the Wilmington Athletics Hall of Fame, Spirk was a four-time All-American and holds several of the College's men's soccer records. Patrick Farmer is in his second season as head women's soccer coach at Transylvania, he had a five year run in division one at Cornell University. 

The Players: Taylor Huffman leads Wilmington's scoring efforts with four goals as well as dishing out three assists. Maddie Scott has also scored four goals with only one assist. Freshman Lauren Galloway has recorded 40 saves including 21 saves last game at Wittenberg, she has also had two solo shutouts. Abby Baker has scored three goals this season for the Pioneers as well as dishing out on assist. Morgan Patton has played the majority of minutes in goal for Transylvania and has recorded one shutout.

Series History: The Quakers are 3-3-0 against the Pioneers since 2001, the Pioneers have won the last two meetings 2-0 and 1-0.
