Women's Soccer Travels to Cincinnati Christian Wednesday Evening

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team will travel to Cincinnati Christian University for a 7 p.m. contest on Wednesday.

The Teams: Wilmington and Cincinnati Christian. The Fightin' Quakers are 0-2-0 after two 1-0 losses last week and will be looking to bounce back on the road. The Eagles are 2-2-0 after a 3-2 victory against Union College over the weekend.

The Coaches: Steve Spirk enters his 28th season as Wilmington's head women's soccer coach. Spirk, a 1982 alumnus, has led the Quakers to six NCAA Division III Tournaments, eight conference championships and over 300 victories during his tenure. A member of the Wilmington Athletics Hall of Fame, Spirk was a four-time All-American and holds several of the College's men's soccer records. Logan Langseth is in his first season as head soccer coach for the Lady Eagles after holding the position of assistant women's soccer coach at Northern Michigan University and Ohio Northern University.

The Players: Wilmington freshman Lauren Galloway has started every game in goal for the Quakers and has recorded 13 saves this season. Taylor Huffman and Elizabeth Matthews lead the Quakers in shooting against Anderson with two shots and one shot on goal each. Statistics were unavailable for Cincinnati Christian University.

Series History: This will be the first meeting between Wilmington and Cincinnati Christian.
