COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track & field team sent three individuals to the Jesse Owens Classic hosted by The Ohio State University on Friday.
Simon Heys competed in the 1,500-meter run and finished in the top half of the 57-person field that featured scholarship competition. The Wilmington High School alumnus crossed the finish line in a person-best time of 3:58.58.
JJ Durr and Nathan Borgan both competed in the hammer throw. Durr, the reigning Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Field Athlete of the Week, finished 10th with a heave of 189' 11" while Borgan fouled on his attempts.
The Quakers will compete at the Mount St. Joseph University Invitational tomorrow (Saturday).
