WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track & field team will be sending one individual to the Polar Bear Final Qualifier, hosted by Ohio Northern University, on Saturday.
The Schedule: Sophomore JJ Durr will compete in the weight throw, which is slated to begin at 1:30 p.m.
The Competition: Durr will be competing against a plethora of individuals looking to improve their times and marks to qualify for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships.
The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 25th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA Division III Championships.
Who to Watch: Durr is seeded first in the event and current is 18th in NCAA Division III with his heave of 60' 0.5" at Muskingum University earlier this season. The top 20 individuals are take to the
