WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track & field team will send a handful of athletes to the Jesse Owens Classic hosted by Ohio State University. 

The Schedule: The throwing tandem will lead things off around 4 PM with Nathan Borgan in flight one of the hammer throw and JJ Durr competing in the second flight. Simon Heys will run solo for the Quakers in the 1,500-meter run slated to start at 5:30 PM. 

The Competition: The Quakers will go head-to-head against a number of Division I competition. 

The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 25th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch: Durr and Borgan both enter the meet ranked in the top-50 in the nation in Division III in the hammer throw. Borgan is currently ranked 14th with a mark of 56.64 meters while Durr sits in 4th with a school record mark of 60.09 meters. Heys, the distance specialist, will compete in the 1,500-meter run in heat number two with a seeded time of 3:53.27.
