Men's Track & Field Closes Out 2023 Indoor Regular Season at Muskingum

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track & field team rounds out the indoor regular season at Muskingum University. The Quakers will enter into Friday looking for one final tune-up before the indoor conference championships. 

The Schedule:  Field events will start at 4 PM with weight throw, running events to follow at 5 PM with the Distance Medley Relay. 

The Competition: The Quakers will be joined by a small number of Division III teams including conference teams Mount Union and Muskingum.  

The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 25th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch: The distance squad is showing out with Noah Tobin, Simon Heys, Eric Reynolds and Tate Yoder taking on the 1,000-meter run. Yoder and Tobin will also double in the mile run later in the evening. Gabe Moore will solo the 3,000-meter run for the group. Brady Vilvens (high jump and triple jump), Brayden Jones (pole vault) and Quentin Davis (long jump) highlight the entry list for the pit events. Rounding it out for the Quakers is the throw squad being led by Andrew Pacifico, JJ Durr, Nathan Borgan and Nathan Marcum in weight throw.
