WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track & field team opens up the 2022-2023 indoor season at Wittenberg. The Quakers will attend the Wittenberg Tiger Collegiate Open for the third straight season of competition to kick off the season.      

The Schedule: Field events start at 11:00 AM with men's weight throw, women to follow. Running events shoot off at 12:30 with the women's 60-meter hurdles, men to follow. 

The Competition: The Quakers will compete against a handful of collegiate teams, including Wittenberg, Cedarville and Thomas Moore. 

The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 25th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch: The Quaker national trio of Simon Heys, Noah Tobin and George Rickett will be competing in the 5,000-meter race after a successful cross country season finale. The infamous throw squad will look to get the ball rolling as they return Andrew Pacifico, Justin Shuga, JJ Durr, Nate Marcum and Nathan Borgan
