WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team opens postseason play with an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament quarterfinal at John Carroll University on Tuesday. Tip-off from the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center is slated for 6 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and John Carroll (JCU). The Quakers completed their regular season 11-14 for the third consecutive season including a 7-11 mark in OAC play. The Blue Streaks, who won the OAC regular season and tournament last season, enter the game 21-4 overall and 15-3 on conference competition.

The Coaches: Jerry Scheve is in his 30th season as head coach of the Wilmington women's basketball program. Scheve, who guided the Quakers to the NCAA Division III National Championship in 2004, has amassed over 500 career victories. Kelly Morrone, a former student-athlete at the University of South Carolina, is in her seventh season as JCU's head coach. Last year, Morrone guided the Blue Streaks to an OAC championship.

The Players: McKayla Binkley leads Wilmington and the OAC in scoring at 18.4 points per game and rebounding at 7.5 boards per contest. Both Kennedy Lewis and Hannah Binkley also scored in double figures while Kelly Noll, who scores 9.5 points per game, is second on the team in rebounding at 6.5 boards per game. Zahrya Bailey leads the Quakers in assists at 3.4 per 40 minutes. John Carroll is led by two potential First Team All-OAC players in Olivia Nagy and Nicole Heffington. Nagy averages a double-double (15.8 points and 10.8 rebounds) while Heffington scores 15.0 points per game.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 78.3, JCU 70.4; opponents' points per game – Wilmington 73.8, JCU 53.0; field goal percentage – Wilmington 41.5, JCU 43.9; three-point percentage – Wilmington 32.2, JCU 30.7; free throw percentage – Wilmington 70.6, JCU 63.1; rebounds per game – Wilmington 42.2, JCU 45.0; assist-to-turnover ratio – Wilmington 0.87, JCU 0.90.

Scoring Offense: The Quakers are 10th in NCAA Division III in scoring offense at 79.1 points per game.

Second Meeting in Four Days: This game marks the second straight season Wilmington has faced JCU in the regular season finale and traveled to University Heights to begin postseason play.
