WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team will attempt to stop a two-game losing skid when the Quakers head to the Rike Center for a 7 p.m. Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) game with Otterbein University on Wednesday.
The Teams: Wilmington and Otterbein. The Quakers are 7-6 overall, an even 3-3 in conference play and coming off a 90-72 loss at home to defending OAC champions John Carroll University on Saturday. The Cardinals are 9-4 on the season, 4-2 in conference competition and also trying end a losing streak as No. 14 Baldwin Wallace University claimed a 71-53 win on Saturday.
The Coaches: Jerry Scheve is in his 30th season as head coach of the Wilmington women's basketball program. Scheve, who guided the Quakers to the NCAA Division III National Championship in 2004, has amassed over 500 career victories. Diana Noles is in her first season as Otterbein's head coach after spending the previous seven as the team's top assistant. A 2004 graduate, Noles (Esterkamp) was a three-time All-OAC performer.
The Players: McKayla Binkley is Wilmington's leading scorer (17.3 points per game) and rebounder (7.8 rebounds per game) while also dishing out 1.7 assists and stealing over two passes per game. Sister Hannah Binkley and Kennedy Lewis both score 11.8 points per game while Kelly Noll is second on the squad in rebounding at 6.4 boards per 40 minutes. Abbie Scholz and Delaney Cutteridge both score in double figures for the Cardinals. Scholz, who scores over 13 points per game, is also Otterbein's top rebounder with 7.2 rebounds per game.

Scoring Offense: The Quakers are seventh in NCAA Division III in scoring offense at 83.5 points per game.
Former Teammates: Otterbein head coach Diana Noles (Esterkamp) and Wilmington assistant coach Janel Blankespoor (Iden) were teammates at Otterbein during the 2003-04 season. Both were on the last team to defeat the 2004 Lady Quakers before their run to the national championship.
