Women's Basketball Heads to Muskingum in Search of Snapping Five-Game Losing Skid

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team heads to Muskingum University on Wednesday in search of a series sweep of the Fighting Muskies. Tip-off from Performance Court is slated for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Muskingum. The Fightin' Quakers enter the game 9-12 overall, 5-9 in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play and looking to snap a five-game losing skid after falling at No. 12 Baldwin Wallace University 74-55 on Saturday. The Fighting Muskies are 3-16 on the season and 1-13 in OAC play after a 78-74 overtime loss to Heidelberg University on Saturday.

The Coaches: Jerry Scheve is in his 30th season as head coach of the Wilmington women's basketball program. Scheve, who guided the Quakers to the NCAA Division III National Championship in 2004, has amassed over 500 career victories. Erin Eaton is in her first season as Muskingum's head coach. She previously served as an assistant coach at Catholic University.

The Players: McKayla Binkley is Wilmington's leading scorer (18.0 points per game) and rebounder (7.5 rebounds per game) while also dishing out 1.8 assists and stealing two passes per game. A trio of Quakers – Kennedy Lewis, Kelly Noll and Hannah Binkley – also score in double figures. Noll is second on the team in rebounding at 6.5 boards per game while Lewis combines with Zahrya Bailey to dish out 5.7 assists per game. A trio of Muskies – Olivia Lang, Emily Yeager and Casey – all score between 10-12 points per game. Camay Baylock is the squad's leading rebounder at 5.9 boards per contest.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 78.7, Muskingum 64.6; opponents' points per game – Wilmington 75.2, Muskingum 79.0; field goal percentage – Wilmington 41.5, Muskingum 38.5; three-point percentage – Wilmington 31.4, Muskingum 32.4; free throw percentage – Wilmington 70.3, Muskingum 64.7; rebounds per game – Wilmington 41.6, Muskingum 36.9; assist-to-turnover ratio – Wilmington 0.84, Muskingum 0.51.

Tops in the OAC: McKayla Binkley leads the OAC in scoring at 18.0 points per game.

Scoring Offense: The Quakers are 11th in NCAA Division III in scoring offense at 79.9 points per game.
