McKayla Binkley Named OAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – McKayla Binkley, the Ohio Athletic Conference's leading scorer, has been named the OAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

The junior led Wilmington in scoring in both games last week that included an 82-68 win over Earlham College in the Quaker Bowl Rivalry and a 99-65 blowout victory over Heidelberg to open OAC play.

In total, the junior alumna of Lynchburg-Clay High School tallied 35 points, for an average of 17.5 points per game, while shooting 72.2 percent from the field. Binkley also grabbed an average of 5.5 rebounds, dished out an average of two assist and blocked an average of two shots per game.

The Quakers (4-2, 1-0 OAC) host Ohio Northern University and the University of Mount Union this week.
