Women's Basketball Picked Seventh in Coaches Poll

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's basketball team was picked to finish seventh in the annual Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) coaches poll, released by the league on Tuesday.

The Fightin' Quakers received 37 total points, 10 ahead of eighth-place Otterbein University. Baldwin Wallace University is the preseason favorite with 78 points and six first-place votes. John Carroll University, the defending OAC regular season and tournament champions, received 75 points and votes from four coaches to win the league.

Wilmington, which finished 11-15 last season, opens its 2019-20 season with the Damon's/Hampton Inn Tip-off Classic on Nov. 15-16.
