WILMINGTON, Ohio - Hanover College put down 42 kills and hit a .233 attack percentage in a straight-set, 25-12, 25-16, 25-20 victory over the Wilmington College volleyball team in non-conference action on Friday evening.

Not much went right for the Fightin' Quakers in the first two sets. Hanover hit a blistering .344 clip in set one. The Panthers cooled off slightly in set two (13 kills and four errors on 34 attack attempts), but Wilmington failed to hit a positive attack percentage in either of the first two sets.

Down 2-0, the hosts used a service run from Mariella Szrom and kills from Taylor McCuistion and Jillian Wesco to build a 15-11 advantage. Hanover quickly tied it on a service run from Emma Rolf, and teams traded side outs until Meghan Koch and Morgan Loomis teamed up for a block to tie the set 20-20. Unfortunately for Wilmington, Hanover won the last five points to claim the match.

Hanover was led by Adrianne Vance with 11 kills while Carlie Burson and Kelsey Ketchum, who both had eight kills, hit over .400. Ketcham assisted on 28-of-42 kills for Hanover while Amber Miller had 15 digs.

Wesco hit a .129 attack percentage with eight kills and 15 digs. Szrom, who tallied seven kills, hit a tema-best .300. Summer Wilbur dished out 23 assists while Karley Schlensker added 16 digs.

Wilmington (2-13) heads to the University of Cincinnati Clermont College for a pair of matches tomorrow (Saturday).
