ALLIANCE, Ohio - The University of Mount Union held the Wilmington College volleyball team to a negative attack percentage in a 25-10, 25-13, 25-16 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) victory on Saturday afternoon.

The Fightin' Quakers mustered four kills in each of the first two sets while the Purple Raiders, who received votes in the most recent American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25 Poll, hit over a .200 clip in all three sets. Wilmington did manage to hit a positive attack percentage of .056 (seven kills and four errors on 36 attack attempts) in the third set, but 13 kills from Mount Union was too much to overcome.

Mount Union finished with 33 kills and just nine errors for a .229 attack percentage while Wilmington had 15 kills and 24 errors. The Purple Raiders also won the serve-and-pass game with eight aces and four errors. Perhaps the most impactful phase of the game was blocking as the hosts had 10 blocks as a team while the visitors had two.

Individually, no Quaker hit positive. Taylor McCuistion had a team-best five kills while Jillian Wesco had four. Summer Wilbur had 13 assists while Karley Schlensker led the back row with 15 digs.

Madelin DiBease finished with nine kills and a .354 attack percentage for Mount Union while Marlee Peck had seven kills and a .667 attack percentage. Peck alonside her teammate Maria Ellesin both had one solo block and four block assists. Alyssa Kasaris had a squad-best 15 digs for the Purple Raiders.

Wilmington (3-18, 0-3 OAC) hosts nationally-ranked Ohio Northern University on Tuesday.
