Volleyball Hosts Hanover on Friday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College volleyball team returns to Hermann Court for the second time this season when Hanover College comes to campus for a non-conference match on Friday. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Hanover. The Fightin' Quakers are 2-12 on the season and looking to rebound from a straight-set loss at Mount St. Joseph University on Tuesday evening. The Panthers are 8-5 on the season and looking to end a two-game skid having most recently lost to St. Mary's College (Indiana) 3-1 last weekend.

The Coaches: A new era of Wilmington volleyball has arrived as Andy Riesenberg, an experienced coach at the NCAA Division I, II, III and club levels, enters his first season leading the program in 2019. The Mount St. Joseph University alumnus has spent time at Southern Illinois University, Xavier University and Ohio University as an assistant coach as well as a stint as head coach at NCAA Division II institution Lake Erie College. Peter Preocanin has been Hanover's head volleyball coach since 2000.

The Players: The Wilmington duo of Jillian Wesco and Taylor McCuistion continue to lead the Quakers offensively as both average over two kills per set and have accounted for over 55 percent of the team's kills. Both have also tallied over 100 digs per set in addition to their offensive numbers. Setter Summer Wilbur dishes out six assists per set. Adrianne Vance and Emma Rolf are the Panther duo that leads the team offensively as both average nearly 2.50 kills per set.

Series History: Wilmington hasn't played Hanover in the last decade.

OAC Leader: Karley Schlensker leads the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) in digs per set at 5.84.
