SERIES HISTORY

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's soccer team heads to Interstate 71 to Cincinnati on Thursday to face Mount St. Joseph University on Thursday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Mount St. Joseph (MSJ). The Fightin' Quakers enter the game with a 4-2-1 overall record having recently defeated Geneva College 4-1 on the road. The Lions are 2-6-0 on the season, but riding a two-game winning streak with victories over Ohio Christian University and the University of Cincinnati Clermont College, both by a singe goal. 

The Coaches: Wilmington is led by first-year Head Coach Cory Bucur, who came to WC from Defiance College. Bucur led the Yellow Jackets to their best season in over a decade in the fall of 2021 as DC went 11-11-1, upset Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament before coming a penalty shootout victory away from appearing in the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament. Rudy Argueta is in his 16th season with the MSJ program including his 14th as a head coach. He was an All-American at the NAIA level at Union College (Kentucky) during his playing days.
