Men's Soccer Releases 2022 Schedule

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's soccer schedule is out for the upcoming 2022 season that begins in early September and concludes in late October. Should the Fightin' Quakers qualify, the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament is scheduled for the first week of November with the winner receiving the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament.

After an exhibition at perennial national power Ohio Wesleyan University in late August, Wilmington opens the season with 4-of-6 homes games. DePauw University and Centre College come to Williams Stadium on Sept. 1 & 3 respectively, and after the team's first road game up US Route 68 to Wittenberg University on Sept. 5, the Quakers welcome Defiance College to campus on Sept. 7. Wilmington then heads up Interstate 75 to Ada, Ohio, for a neutral-site contest with Kalamazoo College before returning to Townsend Field to host another one of the North Coast Athletic Conference's (NCAC) top teams in Kenyon College on Sept. 14. A two-game road swing follows as the team will travel to the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, area for a date with Geneva College on Sept. 17 and head to Cincinnati to face Mount St. Joseph University on Sept. 21. The month concludes with a home contest against another NCAC foe - Denison University - on Sept. 24.

Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play begins in October, and the Quakers will be looking to build upon consecutive third-place finishes in a league that sent two teams, both of which hosted opening weekend, to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament. For the first time in four years, the order in which WC plays the other nine OAC schools has changed. The Quakers start out with a road trip to the defending OAC champions, John Carroll University, on Oct. 1. Three of the next four contest are at home as Capital University, Otterbein University and Marietta College come to Williams Stadium on Oct. 5, 12 and 15 respectively with a road trip to Berea and Baldwin Wallace University scheduled for Oct. 8.

Wilmington is on the road for the majority of the second half of the conference slate with senior day scheduled for Oct. 22. Road games at Ohio Northern University (Oct. 19), at Muskingum University (Oct. 26) and at Heidelberg University (Oct. 29) round out the regular season. The OAC Tournament, which includes the league's top six teams, is scheduled for the following week.
