WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College volleyball team opens the final week of its season with a Wednesday evening match against Muskingum University. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Muskingum. The Fightin' Quakers enter the match with an 8-18 overall record including a 1-6 mark in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play after a straight-set defeat at the hands of The University of Mount Union and a four-set loss to Mount St. Joseph University on Saturday. The Fighting Muskies are 15-6 on the season and 4-3 in conference matches after a four-set triumph over Ohio Northern University on Saturday.

The Coaches: A new era of Wilmington volleyball has arrived Sophie Windover, a former collegiate player and assistant at Heidelberg University, enters her second season leading the program. She helped guide the Student Princes to a 21-8 record and an appearance in the AVCA Top 25 Poll. Halie Cruzen, who led Muskingum to an NCAA Tournament victory over her alma mater Wittenberg University last season, is in her seventh season as head coach. She was named OAC Coach of the Year in 2018.

The Players: Four Quakers - Sofia Thomas, Sydney Geibel, Joy Bebe and Sarah Brown - put down over 1.50 kills per set with Thomas leading the way at 2.44 kills per game. Setter Andie Dolven assists on 7.74 assists per set while libero Blake O'Brien tallies 6.23 digs per set. Bebe is joined by Bailey Pohlman to have at least 50 blocks on the season. Three Muskies - Khloe Taylor, Lexie Huck and Emma Dunham - average at least two kills per set with Emma Conrad dishing out 9.18 assists per game.

Digs Per Set Nationally: Libero Blake O'Brien is fourth in NCAA Division III in digs per set.
