2022 WILMINGTON COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL SCHEDULE
WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College volleyball team has released its schedule for the upcoming 2022 season. The campaign, which begins on Sept. 2, features 28 matches with nine Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contests and 19 non-conference matches.
The Fightin' Quakers, under the direction of second-year Head Coach Sophie Windover, open the season on Sept. 2-3 with four matches at nearby Mount St. Joseph University. Alongside playing the hosts and Ohio Wesleyan University on the first day, Wilmington will face rival Earlham College and perennial regional power Wittenberg University on the second day. The following week, WC heads south twice, first four a tri-match at Midway University mid-week and second for a four-match Rhodes College Tournament in Memphis, Tennessee, on the weekend.
Wilmington's first match at Fred Raizk Arena is slated for Tuesday, Sept. 13 against Franklin College. After that, the Quakers head to Michigan for two matches at Albion College on Sept. 16 and two at Olivet College on Sept. 17. One final trip to Bluffton University on Sept. 21 concludes a 15-match stretch to open the season with just the one home match.
The month of September closes with two straight non-conference home matches as Defiance College comes to Hermann Court on Friday, Sept. 23 and Anderson University (Indiana) visits on Sept. 28. As the calendar moves to October, OAC play begins with away matches at John Carroll University and Baldwin Wallace University with a home contest against Capital University sandwiched in between on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
From Oct. 12-22, Wilmington is slated to play 4-of-5 matches at home that include: Otterbein University on Oct. 12, Marietta College on Oct. 14, the University of Mount Union on Oct. 22 and Mount St. Joseph on Oct. 22. The Quakers, who travel to Ohio Northern University in the middle of that stretch (Oct. 19), close out the regular season with away matches at Muskingum University and at Heidelberg University on Oct. 26 and 29 respectively.
