WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team will travel to Muskingum on Wednesday for an Ohio Athletic Conference match at 7:00.
The Teams: Wilmington and Muskingum. The Muskies started the season strong at 4-2 but have since stumbled to a 5-8 record. The Quakers have been playing much better of late but have not been able to take that improvement into the win column recently and are 3-10 on the season.
The Coaches: Garyck Todd enters his second season as Wilmington's head men's lacrosse coach in 2023. The 2016 WC alumnus was a four-year member of the program and was a part of the team's first winning season (9-7) in 2015. Alec Chisholm was named head coach of the Muskingum University men's lacrosse program during the summer of 2017. During the 2022 season, Chisholm guided Muskingum to numerous program and single-season records.
The Players: Garrett Murrell has been rock solid all year for the Quakers scoring a goal in all but three matches for a season total of 20. Freshman Stephen Lipps has played well of late and has given a boost to the faceoff battle. Spencer Zecchini has scored 25 goals to go with his 12 assists.
