Men's Lacrosse Dominant in Victory at La Roche

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team was dominant in all phases of a 23-1 victory at La Roche College on Thursday evening.

The Quakers scored four goals in the first quarter and eight in the second to build a dozen-point lead at halftime. There was no letdown for WC in the second half as the visitors outscored the Red Hawks 11-1 to secure the non-conference win.

Wilmington was 21-of-27 face-offs and picked up 74 ground balls while only allowing 27. Additionally, the Quakers fired 87 total shots including at least 20 in each quarter. La Roche finished with 13 shots as a team.

Garrett Murrell led the Quakers with seven goals and three assists while Justen Shaw found the back of the net six times and also assisted on three other WC goals. Austin Bondurant scored four times while Vincent Friesinger picked up a team-high 19 ground balls. Goalkeeper Cody Everly faced just four shots and saved three of them.

Isaiah Hubbard netted La Roche's lone goal. 

Wilmington (2-4) hosts Spalding University on Wednesday.
