WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team hosts Anderson (IN) Wednesday in Williams Stadium at 7:00. The Quakers will try to avenge last seasons 17-3 defeat at anderson.

The Teams: Wilmington and Anderson. Wilmington starts the season 0-2 despite playing well for the majority of the match. The Quakers will look to put a full game together Wednesday. Anderson lost their first game of the season 16-9 against Wabash and have since had matches against Muskingum and Bethany canceled.

The Coaches: Garyck Todd enters his second season as Wilmington's head men's lacrosse coach in 2023. The 2016 WC alumnus was a four-year member of the program and was a part of the team's first winning season (9-7) in 2015. Jacob Ashton returns for the 2021-22 season in his fifth year as the Anderson University head men's lacrosse coach and the program's fourth official season. Ashton led the Ravens in their third season to its best finish to date, finishing third in Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) with a 3-8 overall record and a 2-2 conference record.

The Players: Senior Justen Shaw has scored in each of the first two matches and has three total goals on the year. Seniors Garrett Murrell and Austin Bondurant have combined for three goals.  Sophomore goalkeeper Cody Everly is saving a blistering 60% of opponent shots. Anderson's Cole Whatley is the current Heartland Collegiate Lacross Conference offensive player of the week for the seven goal performance he had against Wabash College.
