(XENIA, Ohio) – The Wilmington College baseball team took on the Marietta College Pioneers in a doubleheader Saturday afternoon at Athletes in Action Sports Complex, due to poor field conditions at Wilmington. The Quakers dropped both games, losing 14-1 in game one and 17-0 in game two.
Game One – Marietta defeats Wilmington, 14-1 (7 innings)
Marietta led 12-1 after three innings. The Quakers run came in the bottom of the third on an Evan Kelsey sacrifice fly. Eli Hollingsworth doubled to begin the inning and Jared Lammert brought him over to third with a base hit. Wilmington had a runner in scoring position in the sixth and seventh innings but couldn't bring them home.
Game One Notables
- Jared Lammert led the Quakers with three hits in the game, while Eli Hollingsworth added two.
- Evan Kelsey drove in Wilmington's run.

Game Two – Marietta defeats Wilmington, 17-0 (7 innings)
The Pioneers jumped out to a 6-0 lead after the first two innings of play. Wilmington had runners at first and third with one out in the bottom of the second but couldn't get a run across. A Jared Lammert ground-rule double and a groundout put a runner at third with two outs in the bottom of the third, but the Pioneers would get out of it once again. Wilmington had a base runner at third in the seventh with two outs, but he wouldn't score in the loss.

- Eli Hollingsworth led Wilmington with a pair of hits in the game.
- Jared Lammert and Max Gildea both hit a double.
- The Quakers struck out seven Pioneers on the mound.
