WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team hosts Otterbein University for an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest on Wednesday. Tip-off from Fred Raizk Arena is slated for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Otterbein. The Fightin' Quakers are 5-9 overall and 1-5 in conference play after a 76-56 defeat at the hands of No. 12 John Carroll University on Saturday. The Cardinals stand 10-4 and 4-3 in OAC games after a 59-48 win over the University of Mount Union.

The Coaches: Wilmington is under the direction of second-year Head Coach Janel Blankespoor, who is in her fourth season with the program having been interim coach during the 2020-21 season and the program's top assistant the two years prior. The 2007 Otterbein College alumna spent stints at Mount Union and Earlham College before coming to Wilmington. Currently, Cassie Lastivka is leading the team with Blankespoor on maternity leave. Diana Noles is in her 10th season on the Otterbein bench including her third leading the program. The 2004 Otterbein graduate was a three-time All-OAC selection during her playing days.

The Players: Zahrya Bailey leads Wilmington in scoring at 10 points per contest while Kenzie Campbell and Kennedy Lewis both score over eight points per game. Haley Cook joins Bailey and Lewis as Quakers to grab at least four rebounds per game while Lewis assists on over three baskets per 40 minutes. Matie McCrary leads Otterbein in scoring (13.9 points per game) as well as being 1-of-2 Cardinals (Jenna Hoschouer) to average at least three assists per game. Kathleen DeCarlo grabs a team-best 6.1 boards per 40 minutes.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 59.3, Otterbein 66.5; opponents' points per game – Wilmington 64.9, Otterbein 58.1; field goal percentage – Wilmington 37.7, Otterbein 41.5; three-point percentage – Wilmington 27.9, Otterbein 25.3; free throw percentage – Wilmington 63.5, Otterbein 69.0; rebounding margin – Wilmington -1.2, Otterbein +0.9; assist-to-turnover ratio – Wilmington 0.67, Otterbein 1.01.
