WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team looks to snap a six0game losing skid when Heidelberg University comes to Hermann Court for an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Heidelberg. The Fightin' Quakers are 5-12 overall and 1-8 in conference play after falling 59-41 at Ohio Northern University on Wednesday. The Student Princes are 3-14 overall and 2-8 in the OAC after a 66-42 defat at Baldwin Wallace University on Wednesday. 

The Coaches: Wilmington is under the direction of second-year Head Coach Janel Blankespoor, who is in her fourth season with the program having been interim coach during the 2020-21 season and the program's top assistant the two years prior. The 2007 Otterbein College alumna spent stints at Mount Union and Earlham College before coming to Wilmington. Rachel Ferri is in her second season as Heidelberg's head coach. The Catholic University alumna spent the previous three seasons as an assistant at Christopher Newport University.

The Players: Zahrya Bailey, Kennedy Lewis and Kenzie Campbell all score at least eight points per game for Wilmington while Bailey, Lewis and Haley Cook grab neary four boards per contest. Lewis assists on nearly three baskets for game for the Quakers. Lily Sweeney and Bailey Walter combine for 19 points per game for Heidelberg while Walter grabs over seven boards per 40 minutes.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 56.4, Heidelberg 52.8; opponents' points per game – Wilmington 64.1, Heidelberg 64.5; field goal percentage – Wilmington 37.1, Heidelberg 31.8.; three-point percentage – Wilmington 27.2, Heidelberg 23.6; free throw percentage – Wilmington 62.7, Heidelberg 65.1; rebounding margin – Wilmington -3.5, Heidelberg -4.5; assist-to-turnover ratio – Wilmington 0.65, Heidelberg 0.70.
