WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team hosts Baldwin Wallace University for an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest at Hermann Court on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Baldwin Wallace (BW). The Fightin' Quakers are 4-2 on the season having most recently beaten Earlham College 93-65 on the road on Tuesday and are also 1-0 in conference play. The Yellow Jackets are 4-1 and opening conference competition with a 73-49 at Heidelberg University on Wednesday.

The Coaches: Wilmington is under the direction of second-year Head Coach Janel Blankespoor, who is in her fourth season with the program having been interim coach during the 2020-21 season and the program's top assistant the two years prior. The 2007 Otterbein College alumna spent stints at Mount Union and Earlham College before coming to Wilmington. Cheri Harrer has led BW to over 600 victories and 15 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament appearances in her 30 years leading the program.

The Players: Zahrya Bailey and Kenzie Campbell lead Wilmington offensively as both average double figures in scoring while seven other Quakers score at last half-a-dozen points per 40 minutes. Kennedy Lewis, the team's point guard, leads the squad in rebound (6.4 boards per game) as well as being one of five indivduals - Kyria Walker, Bailey, Campbell and Jaylah Captain - to assist on two or more baskets per game. Lily Edwards leads the Yellow Jackets averaging a double-double with 19.4 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Megan Hessel also socres in double figures averaging 10.8 points per game.
