WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team continues Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play on Saturday with a trip of Marietta College. Tip-off from Ban Johnson Arena is slated for 2 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Marietta. The Fightin' Quakers are 7-14 on the season and notch a third conference win after a convincing 79-63 triumph over Muskingum University on Wednesday. The Pioneers are 18-4 and 11-4 in OAC games after dispatching the University of Mount Union 58-33 on Wednesday.

The Coaches: Wilmington is under the direction of second-year Head Coach Janel Blankespoor, who is in her fourth season with the program having been interim coach during the 2020-21 season and the program's top assistant the two years prior. The 2007 Otterbein College alumna spent stints at Mount Union and Earlham College before coming to Wilmington. Kole Vivian is in his fifth season as Marietta's head coach. He's led the Pioneers to their first NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament appearance in school history in 2018.

The Players: The Wilmington backcourt duo of Kennedy Lewis and Zahrya Bailey combine to score over 20 points and grab nearly nine rebounds a contest. Kenzie Campbell, Brooke Davis and Haley Cook all score at least a half-dozen points while Cook joins Lewis and Baileyin grabbing at least four rebounds a game. Lewis, who is coming off a career-best, 26-point performance, assists on over three Quaker baskets a game. Olivia Grbble and Erin Hahn are the two Pioneers to score in double withs with Hahn also serving as Marietta's best rebounder at over eight boards a contest. 

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 62.4, Marietta 70.1; opponents' points per game – Wilmington 62.7, Marietta 59.2; field goal percentage – Wilmington 38.9, Marietta 38.2; three-point percentage – Wilmington 28.6, Marietta 28.2; free throw percentage – Wilmington 61.8, Marietta 70.7; rebounding margin – Wilmington +0.2, Marietta +7.2; assist-to-turnover ratio – Wilmington 0.72, Marietta 1.00.

Senior Day: The contest marks the final regular season home game for the careers of both Kennedy Lewis and Brooke Davis. A brief ceremony will be held prior to the game.
