WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's soccer team will conclude its regular reason with senior night against John Carroll University on Saturday with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and John Carroll, the Fightin Quakers are 10-6-2, 3-4-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) competition after a 5-4 loss with an 89th minute goal at Capital University. The Blue Streaks are 14-2-2, 7-0-1 OAC after defeating Heidelberg University 2-0 on Wednesday, John Carroll has already wrapped up the regular season OAC championship.

The Coaches: Alex Van der Sluijs is in his second year leading Wilmington's men's soccer team. The 2007 alumnus, who was a three-time First Team All-OAC selection and a member of the program's only team to win an OAC title in 2004, worked at Defiance College for seven seasons. Hector Marinaro is in his 14th season as head men's soccer coach at John Carroll. During his tenure the Blue Streaks have won three OAC regular season championships, three OAC tournament championships and had 10 seasons with 10 or more wins. 

The Players: Ian Molfenter leads the Quakers in goals with 11 after scoring two goals against Capital on Wednesday, Zach Burgmeier leads Wilmington in assists with six and he has scored nine goals himself. Felix Maurer has played the majority of minutes in goal, recording 48 saves and four shutouts. William Turrittin leads John Carroll in goals with five and he also leads in assists with 10. Connor Robinson has played over 1,000 minutes as goalkeeper for the Blue Streaks, recording 29 saves with seven goals allowed. 

Series History: Wilmington is 3-20-3 against John Carroll since 1993, the last win for the Quakers came in 2004. 

Conference Standings: The Quakers currently occupy seventh place in the OAC standings, Wilmington will need a victory against John Carroll and for Mount Union to lose or tie against Ohio Northern to qualify for the OAC tournament. 

Senior Night: Saturday's contest marks the final regular season home game in the careers of Gabriel Nygard, J.C. Brewer, Nati Wallis, Anton Berglund, Thompson Birch, Connor Wichmann and Igor Granja. A brief ceremony will be held prior to kickoff.
